External Description:

The Biostatistician II provides academic leadership, making important intellectual contributions especially related to statistics.  Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical researchers and operational colleagues as part of an interdisciplinary team to design and conduct analytic studies; as well as interpret and report results. Provides statistically sound experimental and quasi-experimental designs and data analysis to meet project objectives in a responsive manner.  Maintains current knowledge of new developments in statistics.  Educates Baylor Scott & White on proper use and interpretation of statistics by developing and implementing statistical curriculum.  

 

The ideal candidate will have their Masters� Degree, experience in design and conduct of research studies, and evidence of scholarly activities including publications and research. The ideal candidate will have experience with statistical software packages such as R, SAS, or SPSS, sample size calculation experience and excellent written communication skills.

 

 

Applicants with background in Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics and the ability to perform advanced statistical and complex mathematical models encouraged to apply.
