Field Service Engineer I

The Field Service Engineer I repairs, maintains, tests, and calibrates basic diagnostic imaging equipment/systems to ensure its safe and proper operation. The Field Service Engineer I maximizes patient safety by supporting the proper use, application and operational performance of patient care equipment.
The Field Service Engineer I performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) according to hospital policies, procedures and industry-recognized standards, using specialized test equipment, tools, and simulation devices. The Field Service Engineer I maintains, services, troubleshoots and calibrates a variety of basic diagnostic imaging systems. The role documents all service events, performance tests and corrective maintenance. The role is responsible for ordering repair parts, timely return of applicable repair parts, and timely submission of applicable order-related documentation. The Field Service Engineer I communicates effectively with customer(s) using various communication tools and works in conjunction with imaging equipment service providers to facilitate efficient equipment installs and repairs.
The ideal candidate for the Field Service Engineer I role is able to effectively self-manage time and assigned projects.
