External Description:

The Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst II is responsible and accountable for a wide variety of functions within the HIM Department. These functions for the HIM Analyst II include greeting customers to the department and referring them to the appropriate personnel using AIDET and Service Etiquette Standards; assigning chart deficiencies to Emergency Department accounts; gathering and submitting birth certificate information; performing basic transcription support; assembling documentation; performing various scanning functions for record retention and researching medical records as needed. The specific functions assigned depend on complexity of the facility and its staffing needs.
