The Cytotechnologist Lead screens cytology slides while maintaining the cytology lab, CAP, CLIA and other regulatory agencies requirements. The Cytotechnologist Lead enters results of all benign gynecological cases accurately in the lab computer system and tabulates of all the abnormal gynecological and all non-gynecological cases and assigns them to the pathologist on cytology service. The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for assigning all high risk cases to the QC Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelorï¿½s Degree in addition to having successfully completed and graduated from a school of cytotechnology accredited by CAHEA and will be a certified CT (ASCP). The ideal candidate will have the ability to use basic office equipment required and be familiar with laboratory instrumentation.
