External Description:

The Outpatient Pharmacist PRN ensures the effective, safe and economical use of drugs through the professional application of pharmacist skills and knowledge and serves as a resource for drug information to other health and medical professionals. 

The Outpatient Pharmacist PRN interprets and review prescription instructions and ensures that patient medication orders are appropriately prescribed; serves as a resource and educator on drug therapy and prescription drug plans for medical team members, patients, and patient family members; supervises and monitors the duties of technicians and clerical personnel; and maintains and monitors systems and controls within the retail pharmacy.

  • The ideal Outpatient Pharmacist PRN candidate has current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Texas and able to supervise a staff of technician and clinical personnel.  The candidate must be organized, detail oriented and able to function in a fast paced environment.� ï¿½
