JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides business unit executive oversight and financial support for the shared services of BSW Holdings, BSWH Service Company (inclusive of IT Services) and other areas as may be added. VP provides strategic financial leadership for shared services and is a strong business partner to executive leadership of various shared services departments.  Leads the management of the financial planning, budgeting and financial reporting processes for shared services. VP ensures the integrity of the monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, analyzes and interprets financial results, creates financial performance plans for BSWH Executive leadership and their designees ("BSWH Leadership") and implements and monitors performance to approved plans. Manages the capital expenditure process of these areas and helps to ensure adequate cash flow to meet the operating objectives of the departments and BSWH.

 WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions):

  • Oversees monthly review of financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and relevance.  Performs monthly financial statement analysis and communicates results from operations to the management team as appropriate.

  • Financially evaluate operations on an ongoing basis for adherence to predetermined operational goals.   Assist and/or educate BSWH Leadership to help ensure their understanding of the information contained in the monthly and annual financial statements and reports.  With BSWH Leadership, develop, implement, track and report on operational improvement plans.

  • Lead integrated strategic financial planning and budgeting processes (both operating and capital) for the departments to ensure achievement of established budget targets and take

  • appropriate steps to operationalize such plans and/or budgets.

  • Establishes and maintains financial policies and procedures and ensures its consistency with

  • BSWH policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for integrity of the internal control structure of the shared services departments. Coordinates with Internal Audit for interim audits and Financial Services for the annual external audit.  Reports audit results and management letter points to the management team.  Coordinates Sarbanes Oxley activity with BSWH financial leaders.

  • Manage and oversee the work of direct reports. Develop, coach and mentor team members consistent with the values of a learning organization.

  • Lead the evaluation, development and implementation of a cost overhead allocation methodology through which the operating expenses of BSWH Service Company are allocated to the various business units of BSWH using a uniform allocation approach.    The allocation methodology will be utilized for allocations related to actual, budget, and the long-term financial plan.  The result of the allocations will be formally communicated to BSWH Leadership and the other leaders associated with the business entities across BSWH.

  • Provide financial expertise and support for special analysis, strategic projects and other initiatives proposed and/or assigned by the BSWH Leadership.

  • Oversees the input into tax returns and the Medicare Home Office Cost Statement and the Provider Cost Report Reimbursement Questionnaire. Reviews tax returns and government cost reports with BSWH service providers.

  • Perform other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
