External Description:

The Manager of Quality is responsible for assessing and trending quality measures and driving quality improvement, as well as service excellence, activities in collaboration with site's leadership team. The Manager of Quality coordinates with the System Directors to assure that training, monitoring and improvement activities are in compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; that patient privacy rights are protected; and promote positive patient care outcomes through the evaluation, planning, implementation and monitoring of initiatives designed to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes among hospice professionals across our system.  Provides support to the Imaging Directors through annual reviews and updates regarding the development of quality and service metrics, dashboards, informatics initiatives, personnel performance goals and other areas where quality is an integral component of operations.   The Manager of Quality Ensures adherence and understanding of hospital mission, vision, values and goals.  Oversees the Imaging Quality Governance committees including Set-up, implementation, documentation and follow-up on developing an effective Quality Governance council.  This will ensure the proper surveillance, escalation and management of quality and regulatory risks across the BSWH imaging enterprise are utilized.   The Manager of Quality assures proper audit measures are instituted to both, identify and assess concerns, define the scope of the issue, and initiate actions to resolve.  The Manager of Quality assures accreditation and licensing by pertinent agencies for BSWH Radiology system-wide. In this capacity, collaborates with radiology management teams to develop standardized policies, procedures and performance standards to meet or exceed requirements.  The Manager of Quality supports these groups in ensuring radiology quality dashboard metrics, operations and audits are focused on high value targets toward improving patient care.  The Manager of Quality monitors operational targets for areas of responsibility and implements corrective action plans for negative productivity and operating expense variances in the department productivity reports, the monthly Budgetary reports and the overall services

  • H.S. Graduate/GED or equivalent, and completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.  
    • A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Radiologic Technology, Management or Business preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience required.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), preferred.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(R), preferred.
  • Preferred experience in providing moderately complex database analytics and reporting services to clinicians and customers. Gathers data from multiple sources, analyzes data and creates metrics to drive clinical and operational performance improvement. Performs requirements definition, development, testing, analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
