External Description:

The Respiratory Therapist Cert, according to physician orders and professional assessment of patient's condition, administers various types of respiratory treatments, pulmonary diagnostic adjustive therapy, and long-term ventilation in order to provide respiratory support to patients with breathing difficulties.  The Respiratory Therapist Cert operates ventilation for patient and oversees the patient transporters responsible for moving patients who require continuous mechanically ventilated care while moving to and from other diagnostic areas and the patient care unit.

 

The ideal Respiratory Therapist Cert candidate will have a Bachelor�s Degree, Certified Respiratory Therapist certification, Respiratory Care Practitioners license, and one year experience.  The ideal candidate will also have clinical experience and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

�  Graduate of an Accredited Program in Respiratory Therapy

�  No Experience Required

�  Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board

�  Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board Respiratory Care

�  Basic Life Support (BLS)
