Baylor Scott & White Health laboratory is hiring, Laboratory Information System Specialist II.
Our Laboratory Information System Specialist II provides support of the Laboratory Information System, both Clinical and Anatomic. The Laboratory Information System Specialist has an understanding of the application functionality, reporting
capability, interfacing and integration associated with LIS. Responsibilities may include application implementation, system integration, system configuration, upgrades/updates, user training, and user access. Our LIS Specialist will perform the following job functions:
ï¿½ Manage implementation of new test procedures
ï¿½ Develop FSI interface specifications between HIS and LIS
ï¿½ Perform all core database additions and modifications
ï¿½ Perform daily support of system
ï¿½ Analyze and implement new software
ï¿½ Monitor Laboratory interfaces
ï¿½ Perform system validation for disaster recovery
ï¿½ Manage all LIS activities
The ideal LIS Specialist applicant with have 5 yearsï¿½ experience with LIS software, preferably Soft Lab and/or Mic experience. The LIS specialist will have excellent communication skills and work well as a team and independently.
