The Resident Administrative observes and analyzes a tertiary care teaching hospital, clinic and health maintenance organization by participating in all facets of the organizationï¿½s operations through departmental rotations, committee participation, and diverse project involvement.
The Resident Administrative attends meetings and participates in activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational structure, operations and objectives; conducts and participates in projects to gain direct experience in specific operational areas; performs research and analysis, assists with collection of data and presents findings.
The Resident Administrative actively participates in civic and professional association meetings when possible and utilizes opportunities to learn about and visit healthcare organizations external to BSWH. The Resident Administrative reviews professional literature available to residents to gain additional knowledge; maintains knowledge of trends, legislation and current events in the healthcare industry; and discusses issues and current events with the preceptor and other administrators as appropriate.
The ideal Resident Administrative assistant candidate has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, strong communication skills, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.
