Job Description


The Baylor Scott & White Health Warehouse Associate I will perform basic distribution and warehouse functions related to order-filling, stocking, material handling, receiving, and shipping. This role will be cross-functional and support one or more distribution functions.



The Warehouse Associate I moves freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. The Warehouse Associate I sorts cargo before loading and unloading. The Warehouse Associate I attaches identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. The Warehouse Associate I reads work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. The role stacks cargo in locations such as transit sheds or in holds of ships as directed, using pallets or cargo boards. The role packs and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. The role examines and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.



The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Associate I role will have effective communication skills, possess problem solving ability and have organizational skills.
