The CT Technologist PRN performs routine and complex Computerized Axial Tomographic Imaging procedures on ambulatory, and hospital patients in a Physician Office, Clinic, and Hospital Setting as requested by a physician or other licensed provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The CT Technologist PRN must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are comfortable and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. The CT Technologist PRN minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, implementing ACR protocol requirements, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. The CT Technologist PRN protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart.
The ideal candidate for The CT Technologist PRN position will be compassionate, caring and experienced in developing/implementing the plan of care for the facility, making recommendations for patient interventions, and collaborating with other health care providers to deliver care and document outcomes.

- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- 1+ Years Experience
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (R) or in Nuclear Medicine (N) or by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech (CNMT)
- Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
