Massage Therapist - Part Time (Downtown Austin)

The Massage Therapist performs soft tissue treatments in the clinic setting to aid in the facilitation of healing from various patient complaints. The massage therapist works within an interdisciplinary team that may include acupuncturists, physicians, and other medical providers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Perform 60 minute massage treatments including general massage, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, active release, orthopedic massage, lymphatic drainage, and passive range of motion exercises, recommend and administers additional modalities such as hot-stone massage and aromatherapy, as appropriate and formulates treatment plans and monitors patient progress.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
The Massage Therapist will obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation for appropriate charting of therapy rendered and adhere to OSHA and TJC standards as well as department policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate for this role has a solid understanding of soft tissue techniques and muscle groups, good physical stamina, and strong interpersonal skills.
