The Director Clinical Effectiveness Informatics provides Baylor Scott & White Research Institute (BSWRI) with the intellectual capital and leadership to achieve the BSWRI strategic corporate objective to align and expand research to advance best care.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions): Create and/or use analytical tools and computer programs to support BSWRI. Oversee resource related issues pertaining to BSWRI and clinical scholar matters: Make determinations regarding the physical and human resources, budget, and work flow to complete work in areas of analytical tools and computer programming. Identify, recruit and retain an exceptional analysis and programming staff. Manage staff efforts including adequate documentation of analysis and programming projects. Manages BSWRI efforts in pursuing external financial resources including peer review mechanisms (NIH/AHRQ), foundation and philanthropic sources, and industry and private entities. Manages BSWRI efforts in publishing research in scholarly journals (e.g., JAMA and NEJM). Support preparation of communication materials reflecting BSWH quality of care and improvement efforts. Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
