Scott & White Clinic seeks a Hospitalist physician in the Temple, Texas area. Hospitalist physicians care for hospitalized patients from the beginning of their hospitalization through discharge from the hospital. They evaluate each patient, develop a treatment plan, and ensure that this plan is carried out. They maintain quality and timely documentation regarding the care of their patients. And they work with and supervise physician�s assistants and resident physicians-in-training as necessary. The Hospitalist should be able to independently administer and interpret routine and special diagnostic tests in an expedient and professional manner. Candidates should also be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum care for each patient. *Supervises 1 or 2 Physician's Assistants at a time during about 25% of the care provided. Supervises approximately 1-3 internal medicine residents about a total of four weeks each year. Work Schedule: 7 days a week for 12 hours per day; one week on and one week off

 

Medical degree in Medicine or foreign equivalent and 3 years of Internal or Family Medicine Residency and must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board and Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or American Board of Family Practitioners. Doctorate Degree in Medicine
