JOB SUMMARY
The Special Imaging Supervisor is responsible for assisting the management team in planning, organizing, and the improving of work processes in one of the various specialty sections of Radiology services, such as CT, MRI, US, IR or Nuclear Medicine as instructed by the Director and Radiologist. The Special Imaging Supervisor performs department orientation, teaches, coaches, supervises staff, performs imaging exams, assures the organizations vision, mission, values and goals are adhered to, recommends and assists in the development of policies and procedures to comply with regulatory organizations and Baylor Scott & White Health philosophy.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
The Special Imaging Supervisor is responsible for assuring adequate staffing, supplies and resources are available to perform exams and clinical services, develops a budget to manage the financial performance of radiology imaging, and facilitates goal setting for staff workers. The Supervisor will ensure imaging sections are compliant with The Joint Commission, the TDH and other regulatory standards and lead groups focusing on patient safety, customer service, performance improvement, environment of care, employee engagement, physician engagement, quality improvement, and inter-departmental relations.


KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
MRT - Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), unless the role is MRI and Ultrasound.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION: Graduate of an Accredited Program required
- EXPERIENCE: 3+ Years of experience required
- CERTIFCATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or Military Training Network (MTN) certification required.

**MRI IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE**
Must have one of the following:
American Registry of Radiology Technologists - Bone Density (ARRT-BD) or Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS) or Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or Mammography (ARRT-M) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N) or Radiography (ARRT-R) or Sonography (ARRT-S) or Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sono-Abdomen (AB) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sono-Breast (BR) or Fetal Echocardiography (RDMS-FE) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sono-OB/GYN (OB) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer-Pediatric Sonography (PS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
