JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Labor and Delivery (L&D) units.

 

Every day, our Labor and Delivery (L&D) RNs have the special privilege of helping women and their families bring new people into the world.   Our Labor and Delivery (L&D) RNs care for women during labor and childbirth, monitoring the baby and the mother, coaching mothers during and after delivery and administering medications.  In addition, our L&D RNs must be ready to care for any complications that may arise and be able to assist the physician with procedures such as cesarian sections, episiotomies and epidurals.


The ideal Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN candidates will be experienced in Labor & Delivery and Antepartum Care procedures, understand labor and delivery practices and have excellent problem solving and communications skills.

 

 

The Seasonal RN program includes:

-13 week assignment

-Flat $44/hr. plus applicable shift diffs (must work full time hours; three 12 hour shifts/week)

-$1500 Completion Bonus at the end of 13 weeks

 

Location/Facility: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Irving

Specialty/Department/Practice: Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Shift/Schedule: Seasonal PRN Nights 7pm-7am (13 weeks)

 




QUALIFICATIONS


-Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; BSN degree preferred


-RN license required


-BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications preferred


-2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
