The Operations Distribution Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the network distribution facilities. Functional areas of responsibility include: product receipt-stocking-replenishment-fulfillment, transportation, inventory accuracy, material handling equipment and facility maintenance. Under the direction of Logistics leadership, the Operations Distribution Manager ensures that all distribution center (DC) functions support the distribution/logistics network strategy and service model. The position interacts with organizational personnel within Logistics, Supply Chain, cross segment teams and end customers.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions)
Hands-on leadership of the operation, making decisions in real-time to quickly resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow. Work with cross-functional teams (i.e. hospital staff, inventory planning, customer service) to ensure that both distribution operations and organizational objectives are met. Conduct and coordinate daily production meetings to ensure that all operations supervisors and employees understand the daily workload, expectations, and special instructions. Resolve issues and then ensure that all involved understand the corrected course taken to prevent recurrence. Ensure that all operations employees understand and contribute to providing the highest level of customer service (perfect order). Drive consistent operational improvement at all times, ensuring that achieved improvement is sustained. Leadership, development and accountability of 6-8 direct member team and additional 50-100 non-direct members. Continually coach existing staff to improve their skills, as well as recruiting high level talent to create the strongest team possible. Communicate with employees to ensure that morale remains high and that high performers are retained. Accountable for achieving financial budgetary goals, while maintaining expected service levels. Understand and manage to various distribution metrics, using these metrics to implement/assess improvements made through various initiatives. Based on metrics, make operational adjustments to improve performance. Ensure that employee safety is maintained in all work efforts.

EDUCATION - Bachelors or Equivalent Exp
EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 7 years experience required
