The Cytotechnologist screens cytology slides, following current guidelines and regulations, and enters results into the laboratory information system tracking of all the benign gynecological cases accurately in the lab computer system on a daily basis. The Cytotechnologist processes the results of all abnormal gynecological and all non-gynecological cases and assigns them to the pathologist on cytology service while maintaining a daily log of hours spent screening and number of slides screened.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree, have their ASCP-CT certification, the ability to use basic office equipment and be familiar with laboratory instrumentation.
