"In the Office of Mission and Ministry, we are here to extend and enhance the staff, patient and visitors’ experience to another level, catering to their spiritual and emotional needs. The institutional culture “we are in it together” has enabled me to work as a team and become culturally sensitive to my colleagues and patients that enter the campus for a healing experience and beyond. It is my zeal, passion and bounded duty to reach out to one another and fulfil my professional goals as a chaplain."

"I am proud of Baylor Scott and White’s mission, founded as a ministry of Christian healing, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion so that together we can promote the well-being of all individuals, families, and communities. It is refreshing and a blessing to be in this healthcare system where we have mutual respect and honor for each patient, person, position, and role. It takes a team of servant leaders, on the frontline and in the background, to achieve and maintain the quality of care we deliver across so many access points. I am honored to lead, to learn, and to develop leaders while also serving the BSWH team as a spiritual care provider for patients, families, and staff caregivers."

"I have the privilege of offering ministry to our patients and staff in a digital role. COVID-19 forced the healthcare system to recalibrate and Baylor Scott and White remains relevant as we find innovative solutions to continue to offer diversity, healing, and excellence in patient care. I started as a clinical pastoral education student in BSW’s pastoral education program and then transitioned into a professional chaplain. A few of the many reasons I’m grateful to be a part of the BSW team is the constant evolvement in process improvement, collaboration, staff recognition and the freedom to contribute creatively to revolutionary initiatives. As premier leaders in our industry we explore and develop the most effective ways to accomplish our mission, the Christian Ministry of Healing."

"As a hospital system founded from Christian Ministry, our goal is to provide best care equally for all people, those of faith and those of none. In the Office of Mission and Ministry, we support the wellbeing of our patients, families, and all of our staff. We work together as a team to serve faithfully. Working together, we can accomplish far more than we could separately. The teamwork and compassionate care we are able to provide daily is what brings me to work each day as a professional chaplain and spiritual leader."

Our goals are simple: to make healthcare more accessible and to improve the patient experience. I enjoy working on this team because of the passion, energy and empathy that is part of every discussion around the design, development and implementation of our products."
