Patient Recruitment -Intern

This is an ongoing (at least one year) internship within the Department of Epidemiology. Interns will work under the general supervision of the Epidemiology manager. This position will place the Intern in the center of many federally/industry ï¿½funded health studies and would be ideal for pre-medical/health students, who are considering Graduate or Medical school, or someone with interest in future employment in healthcare.
-Directly recruiting patients into the All of Us research program.
-Includes but not limited to: Face to face interactions in clinical settings, communications via phone calls (including cold calling) and emails, working at marketing events.
-Learns functional areas by reading policies and procedures and other material and applying this information in current assignments
-Working in a team based setting to brainstorm better research processes
-Attends meetings as needed, asks questions and provides information about current work
-Conducts problem-solving functions within and beyond the department.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
-A dedication to learning new things and a talent for adapting to changing situations
-Experience interacting with patients in a clinical setting.
-Experience working with medical records and HIPAA guidelines.
-An interest in clinical research.
-Customer service experience.
